Days after announcing the postponement to their No Filter and cancellation of 50th anniversary Jazz Fest appearance in New Orleans, reports confirm Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger will be undergoing a heart valve replacement.
An initial statement from the band’s representative, for the abrupt postponement was due to Jagger’s doctor advising him not to travel. Today, it has been confirmed that he will be undergoing surgery Friday in New York and will need time to recover afterwards.
Bandmates Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood released separate tweets of encouragement for theirlongtime singer wishing him a speedy recovery during these times.
Jagger was seen enjoying a visit with his family in Miami, he is expected to make a full recovery and return to touring this summer.
